At ELKA CLINIC, Powder Brows are our preferred option for oily skin or skin with enlarged, visible pores. This recommendation comes from our professional experience: delicate hair strokes may fade sooner or lose their definition on these skin types, while a shaded brow does not depend on separate, crisp lines to create its shape.
Your skin still needs an individual assessment. We will talk through your natural brows, previous tattooing and the finish you would enjoy wearing before recommending treatment.
Why Powder Brows are our first choice
Powder Brows create a softly shaded effect, similar to lightly applied brow powder. Ombré describes a graduated version of this finish, usually softer at the front and more defined towards the tail.
For oily or enlarged-pore skin, our priority is a design that remains attractive as it settles. With Powder Brows, the shading provides the definition, rather than a pattern of fine strokes that needs to stay visibly separated.
The result does not have to look dark or heavily made up. Colour, shape and shading can be tailored to your features and the amount of definition you prefer. If you like a subtle brow, tell us: choosing powder does not mean choosing a bold style.

What about Microblading and Nano Brows?
In our experience, Microblading is not a good first choice for oily or enlarged-pore skin. Its fine, manually created strokes may fade sooner than expected or become less distinct. We would rather discuss that limitation before treatment than recommend a look that may disappoint you later.
Nano Brows use a machine to create hair-like strokes, but that does not remove the concern. On oily skin, those strokes can also soften, spread in appearance or become blurry over time. We do not recommend choosing Nano simply because it uses a different tool.
Combination Brows include both strokes and shading. The shading does not guarantee that the stroke detail will remain clear, so we do not treat combination as an automatic solution for oily skin either.

Look beyond the fresh result
A photograph taken immediately after treatment cannot tell you exactly how your brows will look later. Ask to see healed work and discuss which examples are relevant to your skin and goals. You can explore genuine ELKA work in our brow gallery.
Powder Brows still fade and may need maintenance. We cannot promise a fixed lifespan, identical colour retention or a particular outcome. Cosmetic tattooing also carries risks, including infection, allergic reactions and scarring, which should be considered before proceeding.
Healing and the next step
Follow our brow tattoo aftercare instructions and the advice given at your appointment. Do not add harsh cleansers or extra exfoliation in an attempt to control oil around healing brows.
Allow the brows to heal before deciding whether you would like an adjustment. A perfecting appointment is optional, booked separately and charged separately.

Can I have natural-looking Powder Brows?
Yes, a soft powder finish can be designed to complement your natural brow hair. It creates shading rather than individual hairs, so we will discuss that difference when planning your look.
Does oily skin mean my tattoo will disappear in a few months?
No fixed timeframe applies to everyone. Our concern is that fine strokes may fade or lose definition sooner than you expect. Your skin, the treatment and individual healing all matter.
Do I need a separate consultation first?
