About ELKA CLINIC
Where is ELKA CLINIC located?
We are located at 3/29 Hood Street, Subiaco WA 6008, just a few minutes from central Perth. Street parking is available nearby, so it is easy to visit for your appointment.
How long has ELKA CLINIC been operating?
ELKA CLINIC has been caring for Perth clients since July 2015. Over that time we have carried out cosmetic tattoo, microneedling and plasma pen treatments for thousands of clients.
What services do you offer?
We specialise in natural-looking cosmetic tattoo — including nano brows, microblading, ombre and combination brows, men’s nano brows, lip blush, men’s lip blushing and lip neutralisation, and eyeliner tattoo (lash enhancement and classic eyeliner) — as well as cosmetic tattoo lightening and removal. We also offer microneedling and plasma pen treatments (eyelid lifting, skin tightening, wrinkles, skin lesions, stretch marks and pigmentation), plus eyebrow threading, lash lift and lash tint. Each treatment has its own dedicated page with detailed information.
What makes ELKA CLINIC different?
Our focus is on natural, healed results rather than bold or obvious work. We take time over design and colour selection so your result suits your features and ages gracefully. We will also give you honest advice — if we do not think a treatment is right for you, we will tell you.
Who will perform my treatment?
Cosmetic tattoo treatments at ELKA CLINIC are performed by Samira, our Senior Cosmetic Tattoo Artist. Skin treatments are performed by Mary, our Senior Skin Therapist. Ellie, ELKA CLINIC’s Founder & CEO, oversees the clinic, client experience and service standards, and does not perform treatments. The practitioner who plans your treatment is the one who performs it — you can meet them and read more about each role on our Meet the Team page.
Can I see examples of your work?
Yes. You can view real client results in our Brows Gallery, Lip Blushing & Eyeliner Tattoo Gallery and Skin Gallery, and read genuine feedback on our Reviews and Skin Reviews pages.
Appointments & Booking
Do I need an appointment?
Yes, all treatments are by appointment. You can book a treatment straight away, or book a free consultation first for peace of mind before your appointment.
How do I book?
You can book online through our online booking page. The best way to reach us is WhatsApp — message us on 0478 910 443 — or call the clinic on 1300 216 456. If you are not sure which treatment or time you need, get in touch and we will help you choose.
Can I book a treatment without a consultation?
Yes. Many clients book their treatment directly, and that is perfectly fine. A consultation is optional — it is there if you would like to discuss your options or feel more comfortable before committing.
How long does an appointment take?
It depends on the treatment. As a general guide, cosmetic tattoo usually takes around 1.5 to 2 hours, and skin treatments around 1.5 to 2 hours. Touch-up appointments are usually around 1 hour.
Is a deposit required to book?
There is no deposit for consultations. For other treatments, a deposit is required when you book online — the amount is shown at the time of booking and is usually between $50 and $100.
Can I bring someone with me?
Yes, you are welcome to bring someone with you to your appointment.
What if I am running late?
Please call or message us on WhatsApp (0478 910 443) as soon as possible. Please note that no-shows and late cancellations will use your deposit.
Before Your Appointment
How should I prepare?
Preparation varies by treatment, and we will send you specific pre-care guidance when you book. As a general rule, avoid alcohol and caffeine on the day, avoid blood thinners, and let us know about any medications or medical conditions in advance. For microneedling, avoid retinol beforehand.
Should I book around any events?
Yes — cosmetic tattoo goes through a healing process where the colour looks darker before it softens, so it is best not to book immediately before a major event such as a wedding or holiday. We usually recommend allowing several weeks for full healing and a touch-up if needed.
Consultations
Are consultations free?
Yes, we offer a free 30-minute in-person consultation for anyone who would like to discuss their options before booking.
Do I have to have a consultation before treatment?
No. Consultations are entirely optional. They are helpful if you are undecided or have specific concerns, but you are welcome to book your treatment directly.
Can I have a consultation online or by phone?
When you call us, you are welcome to ask all of your questions over the phone. When you book a consultation online, this means an in-person consultation at the clinic.
Payments & Gift Vouchers
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept EFTPOS, credit card and cash. ELKA CLINIC also offers Afterpay. You can find details on our Payment Plans page.
When do I pay?
A deposit is taken at the time of booking, and the balance is paid on the day of your appointment.
Do you sell gift vouchers?
Yes. You can purchase gift vouchers through our online booking page.
Safety & Hygiene
Are your needles single-use?
Yes. We use single-use, sterile needles that are disposed of safely after your treatment. Needles are never reused between clients.
Are your pigments safe?
We use high-quality professional pigments chosen for their colour stability and safety.
How do you maintain hygiene?
We follow strict hygiene and cross-infection control standards. Cosmetic tattoo needles and cartridges are individually packaged, sterile and single-use, relevant treatment surfaces and equipment are cleaned and disinfected between clients, and disposable protective barriers are used where appropriate.
Do you carry out a patch test?
Allergic reactions are very rarely reported, but if you would like a patch test we can perform one 24 hours before your appointment or at your consultation.
Are your treatments safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
As a precaution, we generally do not perform cosmetic tattoo during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. If this applies to you, please let us know and we will advise on timing.
Healing, Results & Aftercare
Where can I find healing and aftercare information for my treatment?
Your aftercare instructions are published on our Treatment Aftercare pages, where you can choose your treatment. If you have had a brow tattoo, go straight to Brow Tattoo Aftercare. Healing timelines and what is normal at each stage are also covered on each treatment’s own FAQ page: Nano Brows, Lip Blush, Eyeliner Tattoo, Cheek Blush, Microneedling, Plasma Pen and Benign Skin Lesion Removal. Aftercare differs meaningfully between treatments, so please follow the page for the treatment you have had.
Do you provide aftercare instructions?
Yes. Every client leaves with clear aftercare instructions written for their specific treatment, and the same instructions are published on our Treatment Aftercare pages so you can check them at any time. We are available if you have questions while you are healing. Following aftercare closely makes a real difference to your final result.
Is a touch-up included in the price?
No — where a perfecting touch-up is recommended, it is not included in the original treatment price. Whether a touch-up is needed, and how soon, depends on the treatment, so please see the relevant treatment FAQ above for timing.
How will I know what is normal while I heal?
Your practitioner talks you through what to expect before you leave, and the treatment FAQ pages set out the healing stages in detail. If anything looks or feels different to what you were told to expect, please contact the clinic — we would far rather hear from you early than late.
Policies
What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
Your deposit is fully refundable if you cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours before your appointment. No-shows and late cancellations will use your deposit.
What happens if I do not like my healed result?
We take great care with design and colour, and we do not consider a result final until it has healed and had any recommended touch-up. If you have concerns during healing, please talk to us — we will always do our best to help and advise on options.
Location & Parking
Where exactly are you and is there parking?
We are at 3/29 Hood Street, Subiaco WA 6008. Street parking is available nearby, so it is easy to visit for your appointment.
What are your opening hours?
We are open 8:00am to 10:00pm by appointment, and weekend appointments are available.
General Cosmetic Tattoo Questions
How do I know if cosmetic tattoo is right for me?
Cosmetic tattoo suits many people who want to enhance sparse brows, define their eyes or add subtle colour to their lips. It may not be suitable for everyone — for example, if you have certain skin or health conditions. A consultation is the best way to find out, and we will always be honest with you. Suitability for a specific treatment is covered on that treatment’s FAQ page.
I already have previous cosmetic tattoo — can you work over it?
Sometimes, but it depends on the colour, saturation and condition of the existing work. We would need to assess it first, and in some cases lightening or removal may be recommended before new work. Please mention any previous tattoo when you book.
Do you treat men?
Yes. We offer cosmetic tattoo for men, including men’s nano brows and men’s lip blushing and neutralisation, with results kept natural and appropriate to masculine features.
Community Support
Does ELKA CLINIC offer any community or support programs?
Yes. We offer $300 off for eligible clients as part of our community support. You can find more information on our Community Care page.
Ready when you are
If you feel confident about your treatment, you are welcome to book directly. And if you would like to talk things through first, our free consultation is always here for you.
