About ELKA CLINIC
Where is ELKA CLINIC located?
We are located at 3/29 Hood Street, Subiaco WA 6008, just a few minutes from central Perth. Street parking is available nearby, so it is easy to visit for your appointment.
How long has ELKA CLINIC been operating?
ELKA CLINIC has been caring for Perth clients since 2015. Over that time we have carried out cosmetic tattoo and advanced skin treatments for thousands of clients.
What services do you offer?
We specialise in natural-looking cosmetic tattoo — including nano brows, microblading, ombre and combination brows, men’s nano brows, lip blush, men’s lip blushing and lip neutralisation, and eyeliner tattoo (lash enhancement and classic eyeliner) — as well as cosmetic tattoo lightening and removal. We also offer advanced skin treatments including plasma pen (eyelid lifting, skin tightening, wrinkles, skin lesions, stretch marks and pigmentation) and microneedling, plus eyebrow threading, lash lift and lash tint. Each treatment has its own dedicated page with detailed information.
What makes ELKA CLINIC different?
Our focus is on natural, healed results rather than bold or obvious work. We take time over design and colour selection so your result suits your features and ages gracefully. We will also give you honest advice — if we do not think a treatment is right for you, we will tell you.
Who will perform my treatment?
Your treatment will be carried out by one of our experienced technicians. You can read more about our team on our About page.
Appointments & Booking
Do I need an appointment?
Yes, all treatments are by appointment. You can book a treatment straight away, or book a free consultation first for peace of mind before your appointment.
How do I book?
You can book online through our online booking page, call us on 1300 216 456, or message us on WhatsApp at 0478 910 443. If you are not sure which treatment or time you need, get in touch and we will help you choose.
Can I book a treatment without a consultation?
Yes. Many clients book their treatment directly, and that is perfectly fine. A consultation is optional — it is there if you would like to discuss your options or feel more comfortable before committing.
How long does an appointment take?
It depends on the treatment. As a general guide, cosmetic tattoo usually takes around 1.5 to 2 hours, and skin treatments around 1.5 to 2 hours. Touch-up appointments are usually around 1 hour.
Is a deposit required to book?
There is no deposit for consultations. For other treatments, a deposit is required when you book online — the amount is shown at the time of booking and is usually between $50 and $100.
Can I bring someone with me?
Yes, you are welcome to bring someone with you to your appointment.
What if I am running late?
Please call or message us on WhatsApp (0478 910 443) as soon as possible. Please note that no-shows and late cancellations will use your deposit.
Before Your Appointment
How should I prepare?
Preparation varies by treatment, and we will send you specific pre-care guidance when you book. As a general rule, avoid alcohol and caffeine on the day, avoid blood thinners, and let us know about any medications or medical conditions in advance. For microneedling, avoid retinol beforehand.
Should I book around any events?
Yes — cosmetic tattoo goes through a healing process where the colour looks darker before it softens, so it is best not to book immediately before a major event such as a wedding or holiday. We usually recommend allowing several weeks for full healing and a touch-up if needed.
Consultations
Are consultations free?
Yes, we offer a free 30-minute in-person consultation for anyone who would like to discuss their options before booking.
Do I have to have a consultation before treatment?
No. Consultations are entirely optional. They are helpful if you are undecided or have specific concerns, but you are welcome to book your treatment directly.
Can I have a consultation online or by phone?
When you call us, you are welcome to ask all of your questions over the phone. When you book a consultation online, this means an in-person consultation at the clinic.
Payments & Gift Vouchers
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept EFTPOS, credit card and cash. We also offer payment plans through AfterPay. You can find more information on our Payment Plans page.
When do I pay?
A deposit is taken at the time of booking, and the balance is paid on the day of your appointment.
Do you sell gift vouchers?
Yes. You can purchase gift vouchers through our online booking page.
Safety & Hygiene
Are your needles single-use?
Yes. We use single-use, sterile needles that are disposed of safely after your treatment. Needles are never reused between clients.
Are your pigments safe?
We use high-quality professional pigments chosen for their colour stability and safety.
How do you maintain hygiene?
We follow strict hygiene and cross-infection control standards, including single-use tools where appropriate, sterile equipment, and clean workstations between clients.
Do you carry out a patch test?
Allergic reactions are very rarely reported, but if you would like a patch test we can perform one 24 hours before your appointment or at your consultation.
Are your treatments safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
As a precaution, we generally do not perform cosmetic tattoo during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. If this applies to you, please let us know and we will advise on timing.
Healing & Expectations
Will my cosmetic tattoo look dark immediately afterwards?
Yes, this is completely normal. Cosmetic tattoo typically looks darker and more defined for the first few days. This softens significantly as your skin heals — the fresh result is not the final result.
How long does healing take?
For cosmetic tattoo, surface healing usually takes around two weeks, with the colour continuing to settle over roughly four to six weeks. Microneedling generally heals within about a week. For plasma pen, lesion removal takes around two weeks, and treatments for wrinkles and eyelid lifting also take around two weeks, with results continuing to improve over the following months.
Why does the colour fade during healing?
As the skin heals it forms a light layer over the pigment and sheds the outermost treated layer, so the colour looks lighter before it settles as the skin recovers. This is a normal part of the process, which is why a touch-up is often part of the plan.
Why has my lip colour almost disappeared after a week?
This is one of the most common questions we hear, and it is completely normal. Lip blush in particular can look very pale during healing before the true colour re-emerges over the following weeks. We do not judge the final result until healing is complete.
Do healed results look different to fresh results?
Yes. Healed results are softer and more natural than the fresh, immediately-post-treatment appearance. We design with the healed result in mind, not the day-one look.
Will everyone heal the same way?
No. Healing varies from person to person depending on skin type, age, lifestyle and how closely aftercare is followed. This is why we set realistic expectations and often recommend a touch-up.
Results
How long do results last?
Cosmetic tattoo is considered semi-permanent and typically lasts 1 to 3 years depending on the treatment, as well as your skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure and aftercare. A periodic colour refresh keeps results looking their best.
Will my results look natural?
Natural-looking results are our focus. We choose pigment shades and work at a depth intended to heal softly and suit your features, rather than creating a heavy or obvious look.
Can I see examples of your work?
Yes. You can view real client results in our Brows Gallery, Lip Blushing & Eyeliner Tattoo Gallery and Skin Gallery, and read genuine feedback on our Reviews and Skin Reviews pages.
Do I need a touch-up?
For most cosmetic tattoo treatments, a touch-up is recommended around 4 to 6 weeks after the initial healing to perfect the shape and colour. It is not always necessary — if you are happy with the result as it is, you can skip it. Please note the first touch-up is not included in the treatment price.
Aftercare
Do you provide aftercare instructions?
Yes. Every client receives clear aftercare instructions, and we are always available if you have questions during your healing. Following aftercare closely makes a real difference to your final result.
Can I exercise afterwards?
We generally recommend avoiding heavy exercise and sweating for 48 hours after cosmetic tattoo, as sweat and moisture can affect healing.
Can I wear makeup afterwards?
We usually advise keeping the treated area free of makeup while it heals, generally for around two weeks on the treated area. We will give you specific guidance for your treatment.
Can I get the area wet or go swimming?
It varies by treatment. For cosmetic tattoo, you will actually need to gently wash the area three to four times on the first day to remove plasma from the skin. For microneedling, keep the area free of water for at least 4 hours, ideally 12 hours. For plasma pen, please ask your technician, as it varies depending on the treatment.
Policies
What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
Your deposit is fully refundable if you cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours before your appointment. No-shows and late cancellations will use your deposit.
What happens if I do not like my healed result?
We take great care with design and colour, and we do not consider a result final until it has healed and had any recommended touch-up. If you have concerns during healing, please talk to us — we will always do our best to help and advise on options.
Location & Parking
Where exactly are you and is there parking?
We are at 3/29 Hood Street, Subiaco WA 6008. Street parking is available nearby, so it is easy to visit for your appointment.
What are your opening hours?
We are open 8:00am to 10:00pm by appointment, and weekend appointments are available.
General Cosmetic Tattoo Questions
How do I know if cosmetic tattoo is right for me?
Cosmetic tattoo suits many people who want to enhance sparse brows, define their eyes or add subtle colour to their lips. It may not be suitable for everyone — for example, if you have certain skin or health conditions. A consultation is the best way to find out, and we will always be honest with you.
I already have previous cosmetic tattoo — can you work over it?
Sometimes, but it depends on the colour, saturation and condition of the existing work. We would need to assess it first, and in some cases lightening or removal may be recommended before new work. Please mention any previous tattoo when you book.
Do you perform treatments on mature skin?
Yes. We regularly work with mature skin and tailor our technique and pigment choice accordingly, as mature skin can behave differently during healing. Natural, soft results are often especially well-suited to mature skin.
Do you treat men?
Yes. We offer cosmetic tattoo for men, including men’s nano brows and men’s lip blushing and neutralisation, with results kept natural and appropriate to masculine features.
Does it hurt?
Comfort varies from person to person and by treatment. We use a strong numbing cream to keep you comfortable throughout your treatment.
Is there any downtime?
There is little to no downtime in the sense of needing time off, but the treated area will go through a visible healing process. Many clients continue their normal routine, keeping event timing in mind.
Community Support
Does ELKA CLINIC offer any community or support programs?
Yes. We offer $300 off for eligible clients as part of our community support. You can find more information on our Community Care page.
